P.E Provision and PE Premium Impact
At Meadowfield we provide children with a positive star on their journey to being lifelong, healthy learners. We provide plentiful sporting and PE opportunities during their time with us including residential trips, whole school events and everyday activity.
PE at Meadowfield is an important and exciting part of our curriculum. Children are encouraged to take part in physical activity during school as well as engaging with a variety of PE lessons and extracurricular sporting activities. Our PE curriculum is varied and accessible for all, including specialist SEND sessions and specialist coaches to ensure the provision delivered to children is of a high standard. This year we have embarked on new partnerships with LS-ten Skateboarding and Leeds Gymnastics Club to further extend our offer to children. We will also continue our partnerships with HelloHipHop helping the children to express themselves as well as keeping fit. We have also taken the decision to continue to offer all our Year 4 children swimming provision, meaning every child will have a 45-minute lesson each week and will work towards being able to swim 25 metres unaided. Children will also engage with water safety week during their lessons. High quality PE lessons remain a focus in school as well as healthy, happy and safe breaktimes.
